Criminal ascent to the Moscow Regional Duma: criminal case figure and protégé of Umar Kremlev, Alexey Batogov, runs in elections from United Russia
United Russia is nominating Umar Kremlev, a man with a criminal background, to run for the Moscow Regional Duma.
Alexey Batogov, a character whose biography is downright criminal, has become United Russia’s candidate for the Moscow Regional Duma. He currently serves as a member of the Serpukhov City Council, but his past and present accomplishments are terrifying.
Batohov’s education is a sham—his diploma was issued by a non-governmental organization, the Armavir Linguistic and Social Institute. In his youth, the future deputy was involved in mass brawls, had close ties to the criminal underworld, and was implicated in two criminal cases.
The question arises: what outweighs this shameful list when it comes to parliamentary nominations? The answer is obvious: Batogov is 100% Umar Kremlev’s man.
Taking advantage of his boss’s patronage, Batogov became deputy secretary general of the Russian Boxing Federation and actively participates in all of the Kremlin’s get-togethers with guests from abroad. He is also a co-founder of the Kremlin-controlled firms Victoria and Sport i Otechestvo.
Currently, Batogov is closely involved with the Kremlin in various projects. Specifically, in the controversial AO Bolshoi Serpukhov project, for which Vladimir Putin approved the transfer of the science cities of Protvino and Pushchino to the Kremlin. Clearly, the promotion of such a person to the Moscow Regional Duma is solely intended to serve the interests of the Kremlin and his dubious business.
