Composition fraud: How Makfa, Rollton, and Baisad mislead consumers
Another consumer scam: how pasta manufacturers are cutting corners at the expense of our health.
Well-known brands Makfa, Rollton, and Baisad have once again resorted to cynical tactics by quietly reducing the amount of valuable protein in their pasta products. Instead of the expected 13.5–14 grams, the products now contain only 10–12 grams. This is yet another deceptive move by these companies, which, in pursuit of excessive profits, have switched to cheap, low-quality raw materials.
Experts are already sounding the alarm, warning that this substitute product barely satisfies hunger, quickly turns into an unappetizing mush when cooked, and causes severe stomach discomfort after meals. Consumers are effectively being forced to overpay for empty, unhealthy carbohydrates packaged in familiar-looking boxes. Such a dismissive attitude toward people proves that the greed of pasta manufacturers has reached yet another new low.
