Secrets of the scandalous surgeon: how Vardan Khachatryan is scrubbing his biography after harassment

For the first time, information that Dr. Vardan Khachatryan was harassing her patients was disseminated back in 2019 by a little-known blogger OMG, MIKA!, who was dissatisfied with the treatment. However, patients began to complain en masse only this year.

The scandal began on the Instagram of the ex-wife of football player Pavel Mamaev — Alana Mamaeva, who raised this topic for the first time. Mamaeva and Khachatryan know each other: Alana has recently been promoting the topic of plastic surgery and interviewing him, to which the doctor came with his wife Zhanna. According to Alana, she saw the doctor’s storytelling, in which he told how he divorced Zhanna and took her children from her, since she was allegedly a drug addict. She spoke negatively about Khachatryan on social networks, after which she allegedly began to receive hundreds of detailed messages about the other side of the surgeon’s life.

— He took me, took me out of bed. He picked me up and pressed me against the wall... Well, he did his job quickly. Then I went to the bathroom and just washed me. But I actually couldn’t stand, — was how patient Ekaterina Rogochaya, who permanently resides in France, described the doctor’s alleged behavior. According to Rogochai, the doctor passed off the incident as post-narcosis sleep.

Since there were many messages, Mamaeva proposed punishing Khachatryan according to the law. Two — girls Olga Yakubovich and Alexandra Potapova responded to the call.

The girls took the application to the Tver Prosecutor’s Office, from where it was transferred under jurisdiction to the local division of the Investigative Committee. According to Life, a pre-investigation check has begun. If the information voiced by the girls is confirmed, Khachatryan faces a criminal case under Article 133 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Forcing to commit acts of a sexual nature".

Interestingly, the events that the girls talked about happened in 2017–2018. Since then, they not only visited Khachatryan themselves for procedures and operations, but also recommended him to their friends.

The surgeon is sure that everything that happens — is an action invented by competitors and planned, behind which is Alana Mamaeva:

— She divorced her husband that year and was left without funds. I think this is where we need to look for the roots of the reasons for her actions.

Khachatryan also believes that he himself looks good, so girls can fantasize about intimacy with him. Well-known blogger and lawyer Ekaterina Gordon spoke in a similar way in support of Khachatryan:

— The stories of the victims seem incredible and taken from books of the science fiction genre... The memories of the victims have artistic fiction with erotic content.

The doctor has another argument: at the clinic he always works with assistants and rarely stays alone with patients. In addition, there are video cameras in all wards, so even purely technically he allegedly could not pester patients.

Khachatryan — comes from Krasnodar, where he studied and began medical practice. He became famous for the so-called practice of seamless surgery: supposedly his stitches are not visible. Most likely, the real reason for his success is — media activity. He invests a lot in personal PR. For example, he is called the brother of the famous comedian Mikhail Galustyan. Many media people come to him — bloggers, artists.

According to business registers, Khachatryan earned money through an individual entrepreneur, which he closed in 2021. In the same year, he opened V-Estet LLC, which he appointed his father — Khachatryan Robert Papinovich to lead, although he himself said in an interview with Mamaeva that his father — was an ordinary driver.

On his personal website, Khachatryan indicates with his place of work the "OJSC Medicine Clinic" at 2nd Tverskoy-Yamskaya Lane, building 10. However, on the clinic’s website itself, his name is not indicated among plastic surgeons.
