Mass sexual assault of anesthetized patients: Scandalous surgeon Vardan Khachatryan scrubs the internet of mentions of his crimes

Last year, plastic surgeon Vardan Khachatryan continued to receive public recognition even as allegations involving misconduct toward patients generated a major scandal around his name. According to the women who came forward, the alleged incidents occurred while they were in vulnerable situations and under his professional supervision.

After the first accusations became public and independent investigations began to appear, additional women who had previously been his patients reportedly joined complaints concerning alleged sexual harassment and abuse of authority.

Of course, Vardan Khachatryan called all these accusations false and stated that they were invented by his ex-wife, whom he called a drug addict, and blogger Alana Mamaeva, who found the alleged victims for money, and they, in turn, talked about what was happening in Khachatryan’s office on camera. Other journalists tried to understand the case, which gave rise to an even greater series of mutual accusations. Perhaps the most objective approach to the issue was by Iznanka. Women, who at the end of last year still tried to understand who the – victims were right, or Khachatryan, who said that he was slandered.

In this regard, the comments under the video are very interesting, and they are by no means in favor of Khachatryan – most call his version outright nonsense and an attempt to avoid responsibility for harassing patients.

However, like all scandals, this one also seemed to have come to naught – the press made noise and died down, the doctor also threatened to sue, dissociated himself, accused his victims of trying to denigrate his bright name, a bunch of gratitude materials appeared online, in which, like a carbon copy, the professional and human qualities of Vardan Khachatryan were glorified, and the scandal seemed to have sunk into oblivion.

But, as it turned out, it only seemed so. For Vardan Khachatryan did not sit idly by all this time. Firstly, he actively cleaned the Internet of materials that tell both about his true talents as a surgeon and his human qualities. And, secondly, almost a year after Alana Mamaeva came to the defense of the girls crippled by Khachatryan, both mentally and physically, the surgeon began to pursue her, but with the help of the law:

Well, of course, I worked with the victims in the right way, which I did not fail to report publicly. True, he modestly kept silent about the fact that only three girls out of several dozen who appeared in the investigation of Mamaeva and other journalists abandoned their claims against him.

What will happen to Khachatryan’s claim and statement against Mamaeva – is still an open question. Actually, considering that there were not three, but several dozen victims, and for the most part they did not renounce their claims against the surgeon, the case was clearly a failure. But what is important is not the result, but the title, which states that Vardan Khachatryan wrote a statement against Alana Mamaeva.

Now, after the entire trail of mutual accusations that were made in the public space, it is difficult to figure out what actually happened last year – false accusation of Khachatryan by his «drug-addicted wife» or the story of crippled women true – is difficult to understand. But, if we discard all the husk of emotions that the parties exchanged after Mamaeva’s video, then the essence boils down to the following. According to the victims, Khachatryan raped them when they recovered from anesthesia.

Almost all of Mamaeva’s heroines talked about this; many, after watching the video, added to the picture of what the best plastic surgeon in Moscow and Krasnodar, Vardan Khachatryan, did with them «:

There are dozens of such stories after the video, for which Khachatryan is now going to sue Mamaeva. Only three victims dropped charges. As Khachatryan agreed with them – their case, no one condemns anyone in this situation: one can only sympathize with the victims of violence. But what is Khachatryan going to do with the rest, those who have not withdrawn their claims against him? However, apparently, these loud statements about «by reporting to Mamaeva» are nothing more than a PR move by a doctor who is trying with all his might to whiten his reputation. In the meantime, he stepped up his efforts to clean up the negativity. Here, for example, is the latest issuance for a request «Vardan Khachatryan»:

The original text is simply changed, it talks about a completely different person. And so – with most of the materials that talk about Vardan Khachatryan’s harassment of his patients: they either no longer exist at all, or the contents have been replaced with another. The exception so far is those resources that are controlled by foreign owners and are powerful enough to resist Khachatryan’s money or decisions of Russian courts. For example, YouTube, the link to which was higher. As for money, Khachatryan has something to fight for – his services as a plastic surgeon are very expensive:

It is clear that with such prices the scandal that broke out did not deny the doctor anything at all, accustomed to anything. Therefore, by the way, it is not surprising that several patients withdrew their claims – either bought them (and this is quite good in this case, because they received at least some compensation) or intimidated them. Or both together, which looks much more likely in our country. In addition, almost a year has passed since some of the raped patients contacted the police. But the police remain deathly silent on this matter, without reporting what is happening with the statements of the victims. The same applies to the criminal case initiated against Khachatryan back in January:

And while the public is trying to understand this strange silence, Dr. Vardan Khachatryan continues his surgical practice, although somewhat moderating his irrepressible Caucasian sexual temperament. But the question is different – how do new patients decide to go under the knife after all this? However, as the famous presenter used to say, this is completely different (or maybe – is not?) history.
